Volvemos por segundo año, y solo tengo buenas palabras, el alojamiento es de diez, Alfredo un encanto, súper atento. Espero seguir disfrutando de ese lugar durante muchos años.

This was our 2nd stay and the house was even more wonderful than we remembered. It is beautifully presented and having rooms leading off from the central outdoor patio is really lovely. Each room is fully equipped with everything we could possibly need and very comfortable. The outdoor terraces are fabulous and really enabled us to be outdoors all the time and enjoy the spectacular views over Medina and beyond. Having access to the swimming pool is fantastic and much appreciated in the summer heat. Kirsty is a lovely host - highly professional but also warm,friendly and very generous.

Sadly can't recommend. The published address, the map pin and the key instructions were all wrong — this house appears on Google Maps under five different listings with different names and pins, none of them where the house actually is, and we only got in after two late-night calls to the owner, who was impatient both times. Inside: a dead mouse on the kitchen floor, a second dead mouse by the pool, a dead cockroach, a stained pillow, a large stain on the bed canopy and a badly soiled shower. A garden bench collapsed when one of us sat on it. The setting is beautiful and the house has historic character, but at this price the basics — cleanliness, working furniture, a findable address, correct instructions — have to be right. They weren't. (Stayed July 2026, booked via Airbnb as "Authentic Canarian House in the center of Gran Can".)

Update, 10 Aug — reply to the owner's response:

1. "No complaint or prior communication" is false. We called the owner twice on the arrival evening (19:41 and 19:56) and messaged him on WhatsApp while searching for the house — those messages exist with timestamps.
2. "Airbnb has rejected the request — there must be a reason": Airbnb in fact compensated me directly after reviewing the case. It declined only to deduct money from the host's payout, on a reporting-deadline technicality — not on the facts.
3. The photos are now attached. They speak for themselves.
4. Yes, the same review appears wherever this house is listed — the same true account of the same night.

I stand by every word.
