Casa La Muralla I y II de Bodegas Marcos

Overall disappointing. Our party contacted 9 months prior to our intended vacation week and were told air conditioning was in the process of being installed. From this information we made the decision to book (non-refundable). Unfortunately on our arrival this had not been done and as it was August was extremely hot. We asked about fans but told they were at other properties and would only have 1 available by the next to last night of our stay. To not have AC and to not automatically include fans is disappointing. Our group ended up buying 2 fans just to keep cool, leaving 1 behind as we could not pack it with us.

During check in meeting the owner/property manager he was giving some information about the area and as we had arrived later in the day, he described a store that would always be open if we needed any supplies. Pointing at the Taiwanese member of our party pulled at the corners of his eyes in a racist gesture to indicate it was a "Chinese grocery."

The location is on the edge of the city and many things are walking distance, but the city block immediately around is dirty and littered with trash and broken bottles. It felt a little unsafe to be out alone as a woman or with the children.

The house includes a dishwasher but only 2 tablets were provided to be able to run cycles. With 6 people there were a lot of dishes that then had to be washed by hand with no sponge so we had to get one. The house includes a washing machine but no laundry soap at all so we had to buy our own.

The ground floor shower has some broken floor tiles that cause a slope inward. There is a slatted plate over the top to provide an even surface for standing but when wet this would sometimes slide.

The beds were clean and comfortable but each bed had only one long pillow so couples sharing a bed are also sharing a pillow.

Only one set of keys was provided, and again with 6 people if we wanted to split up to see different things in the city or take a day trip outside someone would be locked out of the house if the person with the key wasn't back yet.

I can forgive a lot of the shortcomings about the property itself but cannot look past blatant racism.

Las Murallas son dos casas bonitas con todos los electrodomésticos modernos que ud. quiera, salvo ventiladores o aire acondicionado. (Ventiladores estan disponibles, pero es algo que se comparte entre otras casas (Marcos?); no hay bastas!!) Dormimos aquí durante Agosto. Hacia tan calor que casi nos morimos. Abrimos las ventanas, pero sin ventilador, el calor se quede hasta las dos de la madrugada, y nos daron bastante miedo los murciélagos, que se pueden llevar la rabia (hojala que ellos no entraron). Comprimos algunos ventiladores solo para sobrevivir. Uno de ellos esta todavia en la casa, y espero que los huespedes del futuro se puedan disfritar de eso. Pueden estar rejas en las ventanas para prevenir los murciélagos?

A ubicação maravilhosa!! O serviço e o vinho espectacular! Ja estou fazendo planos para voltar 😘😘🍷🍷🍷🍷
